Feddons At long last the rain came and the river has been in flood for the past week. Some angling has taken place since the opening of the season on 1st April but nothing has been caught except kelts which were in large numbers. The first fresh salmon was landed by David Elliot on 12 May, 9lb with sea lice. This followed the pattern of previous seasons when the first salmon was always landed by mid-May. Anglers are hopeful that a few more springers will be landed before the grilse arrive in early June. Report by Frank Elliot
